This was a traditional pantomime based on the much loved Hans Christian Anderson story and as such contained many of the classic panto ingredients and themes.
Donna had an enthusiastic cast. This was Randell Moll's first as dame. He understood
the special relationship between dame and audience, had a good connection with the
audience and grew in confidence as the evening progressed. Gemma Aguilar's Kai was
excellent -
Barbara Springthorpe introduced many clever and innovative musical touches which were very enjoyable and very original.
There were some memorable scenes; David Rourke's acrobatics were spectacular, the tap dancing penguins were quite delightful but perhaps funniest was Ray Farren as the Wolf. His two 'he's behind you' scenes were classic and very funny. The dame's reactions and timings were well rehearsed but looked spontaneous, especially when the Wolf appeared in a top hat.
The staging was good with some excellent back cloths which set the scenes well. Technically
this was well produced -
The Snow Queen was well produced and provided an enjoyable evening's entertainment.

THE festive season is never complete without a family outing to a pantomime and the magical Cinderella is now delighting audiences at Leighton Buzzard Theatre.
The Leighton Buzzard Drama Group are having a ball putting on this rag-
